Cloud & Network Engineer

As a Cloud & Network Engineer, you will be working in the Platform team. There you are primarily concerned with creating a dynamic and scalable working environment on which BetterBe’s SaaS product: the BetterBe LeaseServices, runs. Together with your team you are responsible for the performance, availability and scalability of the Infra Platform. In addition, you will work on virtualizing parts of the physical landscape to a private Cloud solution.

What will you be doing?

Devise and implement network solutions
Setting up a hybrid environment by virtualizing parts of the physical network landscape to a private Cloud solution. How will you do that? And in what way you can safely carry that through? That’s up to you!
Moving towards a scalable and dynamic platform that responds to the changing demand for network & machines
You proactively contribute improvements and ideas in the field of Cloud and the security of the Cloud environment
Automating various processes

You are analytical and meticulous. You are eager to learn and to keep up with the latest technologies and developments. You are flexible and able to work independently as well as in a team.

What do you need?

Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, System & Network Engineering or Informatics
Experience in a similar position is preferred
Knowledge of orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes, Docker and Mesos
Knowledge of provisioning management tools such as Puppet, Ansible and Chef
Knowledge of network protocols such as IPv4 and IPv6 is required
Knowledge of network topologies such as VLANs, MPLS and SPBM is necessary.
Knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and ISIS is required.
Knowledge of software defined networking is an advantage
Knowledge of CI and monitoring tools is top
You recognize the importance of security and zero trust network design.
Command of the Dutch and English language orally and in writing
